THE INSPIRATION

California. She has inspired so many different works of art, from music to photography. And how could it not? Towering redwoods, desert sunsets, alpine lakes, wildflower fields - she's the whole package.

 

When I lived in Los Osos and had the opportunity to customize the landscaping, I knew instantly that I wanted my yard to feel like I was walking on Bluff Trail in Montaña de Oro - coastal chapparal on either side of the trail enveloping me in it's sweet perfume.

There have been so many other moments while traveling this state that I felt myself invigorated through all of my senses, not just by the beauty I was seeing. The taste of a California Cabernet, touching the bark of a Giant Sequoia, or hearing the crashing of waves while standing along one of the 840 miles of California coastline - it's more than just a visual experience.

Golden State Soap Co. is my artistic attempt at capturing another beautiful aspect of my beloved home. I love the diversity of California's landscape and its people and want to celebrate it!

 

My greatest hope is that when you use your bar of Golden State Soap Co. soap, you will find a moment of calmness in this world, transporting you back to your favorite place in California, soaking it all in.
